Set during the turbulent beginning of the civil rights movement in Memphis, Sun Records tells the untold story of nothing less than the arrival of rock'n' roll. Guided by Sam Phillips, youthful musicians like Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis mixed the fashions of hillbilly country using the 1950s R&B noise generated by musicians such as Muddy Waters, B.B.
